vegan mothers day

By Adam Clancy

Looking forward to treating your Mum on Mother’s Day? You should consider these ingredients whilst cooking up the ultimate breakfast – vegan style…

There are other options available, but we feel these are the ones to look out for.

bananas

Bananas go with almost anything.

However, if you want to go for a more recognised fruit, go for bananas. Complimentary for sweet breakfasts, they can be sliced onto waffles or made into banana bread. A person in the UK eats around 100 bananas a year on average according to Banana Link.

Avocados are Instagrammable.

Avocados are very popular amongst vegans. The green fruit can be used as a spread on toast or in a sandwich. Avocado toast seems to be popular on Instagram.

seitan bacon

A good option if you're missing bacon.

If you want to cook-up a hot breakfast, why not try Seitan bacon? It’s made by mixing wheat flour dough together with water. You can glaze it with chilli powder, smoked paprika or salt and pepper.

Tofu is a meat replacement.

Or you can go for a classic meat-replacement for vegans in tofu. You can do a lot with just a few blocks of tofu. You can scramble them, put them into burritos, muffins, omelettes, sandwiches, wraps – the list goes on.
